I thought about how to incorporate technology into Empyrean. It would make a lot of their adventures a lot less difficult.

What if Zandria put a small blue bug in her ear? When it bit her, the creature's tooth gave her the ability to communicate over long distances. Call it a blue-bug tooth. Eh, maybe not.

Alright then. No technology. Better to make the characters rely on their own abilities, each other, some magic and a little faith.
